So if we look at the information that we already know, Layla's reading to months ratio is, 6:2. But to find out the equation we want to find out how many books she reads in ONE month instead of two.

Divide 2/2, and for ratios if you divide one side you have to do the same thing to the other side, so we get, 3:1. Where Layla reads 3 books per 1 month.

Therefore the answer is C.

If we wanted to double check our answer we could substitute our information back in:

6=3Ă—2

6=6

Since the equations equal each other, we know we got it correct.
