Answer:

x=-1/5

y=41/5

I am not able to explain to you how I achieved these results, but at least you can try and see if you can solve the equation.

Answer:

No, (2,6) is not a solution to this system of equations.

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay so lets restate the question:

Is (2, 6) a solution to this system of equations?

y = x + 4

y = 9x + 10

First, you find the x and y intercepts from the equations stated above.

y=x+4

x intercept(s): (-4,0)

y intercept(s): (0,4)

So for the first equation, (2,6) is not a solution.

Now, we find the x and y intercepts for the second equation.

y=9x+10

x intercept(s): (-10/9,0)

y intercept(s): (0,10)

So for the second equation, (2,6) is not a solution.

Both equations do not have (2,6) involved.

And its 24 points not 48 :((((
