A truck can be rented from Company A for $90 a day plus $0.50 per mile. Company B charges $40 a day plus $0.60 per mile to rent the same truck. Find the number of miles in a day at which the rental costs for Company A and Company B are the same.

Tthe number of miles in a day at which the rental costs for Company A and Company B are the same is 500 miles

The truck is driven X miles per day

Charges of company A will be = 90+0.5x

Charges of company B will be =40+0.60x

We need to find the value of X when charges of both companies are same

90+0.5X= 40+0.60x

90-40 = 0.60x-0,50x

50 = 0.10x

50/0.10= X

X= 500

The charges of both companies will be same if truck is driven 500 miles per day
