Ok so ignore the answer the other dude gave. It’s NOT 12.
He was right about how to solve it but he solved it wrong.

A^2+B^2=C^2
so to get the answer we know
C is 30km which makes C^2= 900
We also know
A is 18km which is A^2=324.
Now to get B^2 we do C^2-A^2
So 900-324 and we get 576
We get the square root of 576 which is 24

So the answer is 24km
