Lyrics explain our current situation: Most of the songs we like or do get touched with are those which had explained the situtions in which we were at the time we were listening to them. For an example, fell in love and started listening love songs, if we are broke we tend to listen to sad songs and we these all times listen to lyrics very carefully.
Songs are mood changer: If we try to listen to an energetic song when we are sad we feel better but if we do opposite we overthinks. So we like a song and sometime play it to change our mood because we want to do that at that moment.
To explain others how you feel: Most of the songs we like are those we use to explain our feelings or tell others about what we are thinking and can not explain in our words better than the song lyrics.
Some songs are connected to someone very special: Some of the songs are related to a person we met in childhood and he/she told we to listen to that song and we really enjoyed it and at present we are missing the person and playing the song.
