Consider a retail store. Think about the store's layout and displays. Listen to the background sounds. Smell the smells. Everything in the store from layout to lighting to the music and even the smells has been carefully planned to shape your shopping experience. In most cases, you are probably being affected in ways so subtle that you don't even realize. For example, a store's lighting can affect your mood. Bright lighting can create excitement, whereas softer lighting can create a mellow mood. Music can make you feel happy, nostalgic, or relaxed, and the smells can impact you as well. Visit a retail store. Stop, look, and listen. See if you can spot the subtle and not-so-subtle things the store does to affect what you feel, think, and buy. Submit three (3) paragraphs about what you observed, heard, and smelled. Label the paragraphs.
