Adjacent = WY = 40 cm

Hypothenus = WZ = c =?

Cos θ = Adjacent / Hypothenus

Cos 38.5 = 40 / c

0.7826 = 40 / c

Cross multiply

0.7826 × c = 40

Divide both side by 0.7826

c = 40 / 0.7826

c = 51.1 cm
