Dendrites are projections of a neuron that receive signals from other neurons.

Neuron > cell that carries information through the nervous system

A neuron, or nerve cell, is an electrically excitable cell that communicates with other cells with connections called synapses.

Axon > receives information and sends it away from the cell

The function of the axon is to transmit information to different neurons, muscles, and glands.
