So I don't know if this will help or is the answer that you're looking for but here:

If you're multiplying a decimal by 1, it obviously stays the same.

ex: 1 x 0.25 = 0.25

If you multiply by 10 then you move the decimal place once to the right, as it gets bigger

ex: 10 x 0.25 = 2.5

you can do this for any number:

10 x 3.44 = 34.4

you can also use any power of 10.

10^2/100

100 x 2.75 = 275/275.0
