Angiosperms have been on earth for about 145 million to 100.5 million years. They are distinguished from gymnosperms by their characteristics like flowers, endosperm within their seeds, and the production of fruits that contain the seeds. The first flowering plants are thought to have showed up in the Jurassic period, maybe earlier. Angiosperms are one of the most diverse of all land plants, becoming abundant in the cretaceous period. Plants that lived alongside angiosperms were ferns, cycads, horsetails, metasequoias, cypress, pines, and ginkgoes.
Angiosperms have benefited our world for the better. Without them we would have a significant loss in the variety of food sources and oxygen supply in a habitat. It would also drastically affect the among and distribution of the world's perception. Many sources of food and medicine still remain to be discovered within the angiosperm species.
hope this was soon enough :)
