To find the price per spoon of brand A, divide the cost by the amount of spoons:

1.99 / 25 = 0.0796

Repeat this process for brand B:

3.89 / 42 = 0.0926

Brand A, at $0.08 a unit, is the better buy of brands A and B.

Answer:

Brand A: 0.92 Brand B: 0.11

Explanation:

1.12 divided by 12 (round down)

2.96 divided by 25 (round up)

brand B is better to buy because you get more and it costs less per spoon
