DNA is the code that tells you how you look, your height, and yes, some of it influences your personality. However, many people can(and do!) change their personalities, including criminals. In fact, studies have shown by interviewing people in jails, that a lot of them are victims of abuse, neglection, have come from un-supportive homes, lived in a place with gangs and drugs, etc. This illustrates how most criminals have largely been influenced by the circumstances they were born into, which they largely had no choice over. While DNA likely does influence a criminal's behavior, their circumstances they grew up in does so more, illustrated by many studies.
