6(1)³-7(1)²-11(1)+d=0

6-7-11+d=0

-12+d=0

d=12

b.

Put x=-2 into the polynomial

6(-2)³-7(-2)²-11(-2)+12

6(-8)-7(4)+22+12

-48-28+22+12

-42
