The pituitary gland is like a post office because it produces and secretes hormones that are transported through the bloodstream to peripheral organs.
Growth hormone is like a fertilizer because it stimulates the growth and development of cells and tissues.
The bloodstream is like a network of highways because it carries hormones, nutrients, and other molecules to and from the cells throughout the body.
Peripheral organs are like recipients of mail because they receive hormones from the pituitary gland and other glands through the bloodstream, allowing them to respond to the body's needs.
