7. A square pyramid has triangular faces, each with a base, of 8 inches and a height of 14 inches. The total surface area of the square pyramid is 288 in2. What is the area of the base of the square pyramid?​

Uh…the 288 sq in is not needed; neither is the 14 in. If the base of each of the triangular sides is 8, and it’s a square pyramid, the AREA of the base length times width, or 8^2, which is 64 square inches. Peace!
