Commission rate = 6%

Sales = $43,000

Commission = 6% of 43,000

= 0.06 × 43,000

= $2,580

Suppose sales would double. What would be true about the commission?

If sales doubles, that is,

Sales = $86,000

Then, commission also doubles

Commission = $5,160

Check:

Sales = $86,000

Commission rate = 6%

Commission = 6% of $86,000

= 0.06 × 86,000

= $5,160
