The graph of y = f(x) is transformed to the graph of y = 2f(x - 1).

Describe fully the two single transformations which have been combined to give the resulting transformation.

Stretches vertically by 2, shifts right by 1

Explanation:

changes to y are direct, but you have to take the inverse for changes to x. This is because for a given value of y, with x-1, you would have to add one to x to make it the same value(to get the same point before the transformation)
