Osteoclasts grow into osteocytes, and osteoblasts become osteoprogenitor cells.
Osteoclasts break down bone matrix, while osteoblasts build up bone matrix in the bones.
Osteoclasts add bone matrix to bones, while osteoblasts break down bone matrix.
