Answer: Neither (5/2, 0)

Explanation:

-4x + 7 = 2y - 3

+3 +3

2y = -4x + 10

(Divide both sides by 2)

y = -2x +5

—————————————————

-4x + 7 = 2(-4x + 10) - 3

-4x + 7 = -8x + 20 - 3

-4x + 7 = -8x + 17

+8x -7 +8x -7

8x - 4x = 17 - 7

4x = 10

(Divide both sides by 4)

x = 5/2

—————————————

y = -2(5/2) + 5

y = -5 + 5

y = 0

——————————

Check Work:

-4x + 7 = 2y - 3

-4(5/2) + 7 = 2(0) -3

-10 + 7 = 0 - 3

-3 = -3 ✔️
