Gustatory receptors and lingual papillae work together to detect and transmit taste sensations to the brain and as well facilitating our sense of taste. The correct label to the diagram is in the picture below.

Biologically, the gustatory receptors is also known as taste buds. They are specialized sensory cells found on the tongue and other parts of the mouth. They contain taste receptor cells that can detect different taste sensations which includes sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami.

Lingual papillae are small structures on the tongue's surface that house the gustatory receptors. They are in different types such as fungiform, circumvallate, foliate and filiform papillae. They all have unique roles in taste perception and texture detection.
