A To protect its interests in Europe. Explanation: because The USA didn’t help the central powers, the central powers were the enemy of USA. And Like I said the central powers were the enemy and Germany was in the central powers so it wouldn’t be B or C. And the allied powers were the Allie with the USA so it wouldn’t be D
