Religion unites people when they come to church and are united together. In church they sing together and pray together etc.
It can also divides people based on what their interpretation of the Bible is. For example Adam and Eve is something that some religious people believe and some think this is just a story along with the great flood.
People of differing religions will often disagree on certain things too.
