X = 4, Y = - 2

Explanation:

2X - Y = 10 ( +Y)

2X = 10 + Y ( -10)

Y = 2X - 10

2X - 5Y = 18

2X - 5(2X - 10) = 18

2X - 10X + 50 = 18

50 - 8X = 18

50 - 18 = 8X

32 = 8X ( divide by 8)

X = 4

Y = 2(4) - 10

Y = - 2
