Write the explicit formula (function) to represent the arithmetic sequence below:

8, 13, 18, 23, ...

The formula is 5n+3
You generate this by;
You get the rule of the sequence in this case it’s rule is 5 by this I mean like you add five to a number to get the next number

Then you get the first number, in this case it’s 8
And then in to brackets (n-1)
8+5(n-1)
= 5n+3
The first number has to come first then you add it with the rule

Am not really good at explaining though I hope this helps
