the interior angles in a triangle have these measurements, m<1 = xº
m<2 = 2x° and, m<3 = (6x + 18 )°. What is x ?

The interior of a triangle adds up to 180. All of these three angles therefore add up to 180.

x + 2x + 6x+18= 180
Add like terms
9x + 18 = 180
Subtract 18 on both sides
9x = 162
Divide 9 on both sides
x = 18
