Answer:

A)

(0.16) and (20,0)

I can purchase a told to only 16 long sleeve shirts or only a total of 20 short sleeve shirts.

B)

I could purchase 5 short sleeve shirts and 12 long sleeve shirts.

Explanation:

Let x = 0

10y = 160 Divide both sides by 10

y = 16

(0,16)

If I buy 0 short sleeve shirts, I can purchase 16 long sleeves.

Let y = 0

8x = 160 Divide both sides by 8

x = 20

(20,0)

If I buy 0 long sleeve shirts, I can purchase 20 short sleeve shirts.

Let x = 5

8x + 10y = 160

8(5) + 10y = 160

40 + 10y = 160 Subtract 40 from both sides

10y = 120 Divide both sides by 10

y = 12

If you buy 5 short sleeve shirts, you can purchase 12 long sleeves
