Working simultaneously, four fudge machines complete a big order in 32 hours. All the

machines at the fudge factory work at the same pace.
How many hours would it take to complete the order with twice the number of working
machines?

Answer: 16 hours

Step-by-step explanation::

4 machines complete a large order in 32 hours

8 machines complete the same large order in x hours ( x is the unknown number of hours)

(4 machines)(32 hr/order) = (8 machines)( x hr/order)

128 machine·hr/order = (8 machine·hr/order) (x hr)

solve for x:

x = 128 / 8 = 16 hr
