Answer: obtuse scalene triangle.

====================================================

Step-by-step explanation:

For any triangle, the three angles always add to 180 degrees.

A+B+C = 180

(x-30)+(2x-80)+(x-70) = 180

4x-180 = 180

4x = 180+180

4x = 360

x = 360/4

x = 90

So,

  • A = x-30 = 90-30 = 60
  • B = 2x-80 = 2*90-80 = 100
  • C = x-70 = 90-70 = 20

In short,

  • A = 60
  • B = 100
  • C = 20

Note how A+B+C = 60+100+20 = 180 to help confirm we have the correct x value and correct A,B,C values.

Since all of the angles are different in measure, it tells us the triangle is scalene. This will lead to the side lengths being 3 different values.

The fact that angle B = 100 is over 90 degrees also tells us this triangle is obtuse

In short, we have an obtuse scalene triangle.
