Is ( – 2, – 3) a solution to this system of equations? y= – 5x–13 y=x–1

Yes or No :)

Substitute the point into each equation
-3 = -5 x -2 - 13
-3 = 10 - 13 true

-3 = -2 - 1 which is also true

So (-2, -3) is the only point that satisfies both equations
