So given that one of the points is (0,5) and one of the points is (-1,4), we can use the formula for slope given by

m=y2-y1/x2-x1

Let (x1,y1) be (-1,4) and let (x2,y2) be (0,5)

Given these two things,

m=(5-4)/[0-(-1)]

m=1/0+1

m=1/1

m=1

The y-intercept is given by (0,b). Thus because when x=0 y=5, we can say that b=5

Furthermore, the equation of a line is given of the from

y=mx+b and because m=1, and b=5, the equation of the line in slope-intercept form will be

y=x+5

Hope this helps!
