Explanation:

you understand question 1 but not question 2 ?

2.

this is the line that only touches the circle (one point - that counts as an intersection).

this is the line HE (or is it H5 or H6 or HG, I cannot really read the label). but based on question 3 I am relatively sure it is HE.

3.

the angle HET is formed by 2 lines : HE and ET.

we have 2 intercepted arcs (because the vertex or intersection point of the lines is outside of the circle) : HT and HA.

for the angle HLE we have the lines HL and LE.

since we are looking only at these line segments with that particular angle, there is only one intercepted arc : HA.

for the angle HTE we have the lines HT and TE.

the vertex (T) is on the circle, so we have again only one intercepted arc : HA.

for the angle EHY we have the lines EH and HY.

EH is a tangent of the circle, so only HY is really intercepting the circle.

the intercepted arc is HAY.

it is important to mention A, because the arc HY could also mean the other side : HTY. both arcs seem to be of relatively similar size, so it is important to specify which "half" of the circle arc we mean.

therefore, the intercepted arc is HAY.
