He would use the money he has remaining to buy brushes that cost $11 each. What is the greatest number of brushes the painter can buy with money he has remaining

Answer: 1 brush

Explanation:

So first we take 1448 divided by 35 = 41 gallons will be the greatest number of gallons he can buy. 41 times $35 = $1435, then we subtract 1448 by 1435 and get $13. So he can only buy 1 brush
