ABC is a right angled triangle in which AB = 12 cm and BC = 9 cm.

i) Calculate the length of AC.

ii) write down the value of
a) Tan AC^B, b) COS AC^B C) sin AC^B

Explanation:

AB=12cm=p

Bc=9cm=b

Ac=h=?

now

h^2=sqrt p^2+b^2

= sqrt 12^2+9 ^2

= sqrt144+81

=sqrt225

=15 units

again

tanA=12/9

cosA=12/15

SINA= 12/15
