3x + 2y = 4

X + 2y = -4
Notice the equations are NOT in slope-intercept form.
Rewrite them in slope intercept form y = mx + b.

3x + 2y = 4
2y = -3x + 4
Divide by 2
Solution: y = -3/2x + 2

x + 2y = -4
2y = -x - 4
Divide by 2
Solution: y = -1/2x - 2
