the distance for every segment is half of the previous one.

so, when we get to E we have divided the whole distance AB 3 times by 2. that means by 2³ = 8.

so, the distance EB = AB/8.

and that means that also the coordinate differences are divided by 8.

AB coordinate differences = (|-10 - 8|, |14 - -2|) =

= (18, 16)

therefore the EB coordinate differences are

(18/8, 16/8) = (2.25, 2)

E is to the left and above B, so we need to subtract the x difference and add the y difference :

E = B + (-2.25, 2) = (8-2.25, -2+2) = (5.75, 0)
