4ˣ=128
Taking the natural log of both sides gives you
ln(4ˣ)=ln(128)
Using the power property of logs we get
xln(4)=ln(128)
Dividing both sides by ln(4) we get
x=ln(128)/ln(4)
Hope this helps!
