Could someone please explain to me the difference between je sais and je sache, the two forms of savoir.

are they like synonyms to one another or does one have to be used solely within a conversation?
for example, is it okay to use a sentence saying je sache and another saying je sais?

Bonjour,

je sais: présent de l'indicatif

Je sais lire.

que je sache: présent du subjonctif

Il faut que je sache lire.
