The Treaty of Versailles was a very damaging treaty to the Germans as firstly, Germany was already a war-torn country after the war meaning its economy was falling hard. It was even forced to give the Ruhr region, which was the industrial heartland for Germany, crippling its economy even more. They lost 13 PERCENT OF ITS EUROPEAN LANDS, mostly by the recreation of Poland. It also lost 1/10 of its population. As well as that, Germany had to pay massive reparation and due to the lack of good leadership, the government printed out money which only lowered the mark's value.
