A line passes through (0, 2) and has a slope of 13. What is the equation of the line in slope-intercept form?

y = 1/3x + 2 (y equals 1 third x plus 2)

y = 1/3x − 2 (y equals 1 third x minus 2)

y = −1/3x + 2 (y equals negative 1 third x plus 2)

y-intercept is : (0 , 2)

slope = 13 or 13/1 (this is positive so slope will be positive)

slope = rise/run = y/x
