Answer: 19. Antacids are less acidic than a neutral (water) so they are considered a base. Therefore they will be a larger number than water (7) so you would expect an antacid to be anywhere from 8-14. (Antacids are a 10)

20. Hydrochloric Acid is a very acidic substance so if you add a base to it the 2 combined together makes a less strong substance bringing its pH higher up the scale.

Explanation: For reference look at the pH scale, the lower the number the higher the acidity.
