The client is taking Phenytoin (Dilantin) based on his history of seizures and according to the medical prescription, the client is at an increased risk for developing Constipation.

If a client who had a history of dealing with seizures is getting treatment as has been medically prescribed to take Phenytoin (Dilantin) in order to control it, then the client has an increased risk of developing Constipation while on medications.

Phenytoin is a drug that is used to control certain types of seizures that may occur after surgery of the brain or related to the nervous system. It decreases the electrical abnormal activity in the brain.
