Using y=mx+c, where y is the location of y-axis, m is the gradient, x is the location on the x-axis & c is the y-intercept.

We can substitute the values into the formula y=mx+c

*****NOTE THAT Y=MX+C IS THE SAME AS Y=MX+B ----------------- C = B !

y = Y, m = -3, c = -1

..

Y = -3x -1

gradient (m) = rise/run

Y = (-3/1) -(1)

.. Where -3 (numerator of m) is rise

.. Where 1 (denominator of m) is run

{ THERE IS ALWAYS A 1 BELOW ANY NUMBER WITHOUT DENIMINATOR! }
