The first group of people to stop wandering and begin civilization by using agriculture were the Fertile Crescent people.
The Birthplace of Civilization
The Fertile Crescent is a region in the Middle East that includes the countries of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan. This region is where the first cities were built and the first writing was developed. The Fertile Crescent people were able to stop wandering and begin civilization because of the rich soil in the region. This soil was perfect for growing crops, and the Fertile Crescent people were able to develop irrigation systems to water their crops. The Fertile Crescent people were also able to domesticated animals, which provided them with food and transportation.
