Dickinson treated the topic of death as though she did not care for it. In the poetry, you can tell she was afraid of what was about to happen. While, Poe on the other hand, seems to have a completely different tone,

Poe doesn't seem to understand death- and I mean, I don't either, I find the thought revolting. Dickonson on the other hand knows of it, and it pains her. Both of the writers have experianced death, but have different views on it.
