Answer: A cell phone provider offers a plan that costs $30 per month plus $0.10 per text message sent or received.

A comparable plan costs $50 per month but offers unlimited text messaging.

Let the number of massages be x

the total amount costs for plan A = $30 + $0.10x

We will calculate the number of messages at which both the companies charge equal amount.

30 + 0.10x = 50

0.10x = 50 - 30

0.10x = 20

x =

x = 200

At 200 massages both plan would charge equal.

Below 200 massages plan A will charge less but over 200 messages plan B would be better option.
