Answer: y = 1/4x +5

Explanation:

3x-12y=10

Slove for y

-12y= 10-3x

Divide -12 from both sides, leaving u with

y = 10 -3x / -12

Then divide 10 -3x by -12 and then your answer will be

y = 1/4x + 5/6

Here the gradient ( m ) is 1/4

This equation is written in the form y=mx+c

So you replace your c value with the coordinates (-8,3)

y = 1/4x + 15/3

that is simplified into

y = 1/4x + 5
