Explanation:

the figure is formed by a rectangle and two isosceles triangles, the measures of the rectangle are: 12cm and 5cm, the base of the triangles is 12cm and the height is (13 - 5) : 2 = 4cm

Rectangle Area = b × h

12 × 5 = 60cm²

Triangle Area = 1/2 b × h

1/2 12 × 5 = 30cm²

just sum the single Areas

60 + 30 + 30 =

120cm²
