does anyone know what 4/9 - 3/9 - 5/9 + 5 - 8 is simplified? if u do it would help me greatly. thank you.

Answer:

-3 4/9

Explanation:

The fractions all have the same denominator, so are easily added.

Of course, you know how to add signed integers.

4/9 - 3/9 - 5/9 + 5 - 8

= (4 -3 -5)/9 +(5 -8)

= -4/9 -3

= -(3 4/9)
