Explanation:

First put all numbers with letters (variables) on the left, then put the = sign, then put all normal numbers on the right, but whatever number is on the left or right and needs to be switched, change it´s positive or negative sign. Like this:

1 + 8n = 13 +6m to 8n - 6m = 1 - 13

Now subtract 13 from both sides like this:

6m + 8n - 13 = 1 - 13 - 13

Then, simplfiy til you get an answer
