Amanda uses a rectangular canvas for a painting. The length is 6x - 3 centimeters. The width is 2x + 6 centimeters and is 4/5 of the length. What are the dimensions of the canvas?

6x - 3 = 4/5(2x + 6)
x5 x5
30x-15= 4(10x + 30)
30x-15= 40x + 120
-40x -40x
-10x-15= 120
+15 +15
-10x = 135
Divide by 10 on both sides
X= -13.5

L= 6x-3
= 6(-13.5)x-3
= -7.5x-3
= 22.5

W= 2x+ 6
= 2(-13.5)+ 6
= -27+6
= -21
